Gauze and Gauze products are made of 100% Cotton – natural material, as the main substance. Gauze is a woven fabric, purified and bleached by HT procedure, highly hydrophilic and absorbent material. Usually it is made of 13, 17, 20 and 24 threads per cm2, with or without X-Ray detectable thread (RX). Quality requirements are in absolute compliance with European Pharmacopeia (EUR. Ph.). Risk analysis, examinations for Biocompatibility and Cytotoxicology are conducted according to the standards 14971 and 10993. Also, the compatibility with various pharmaceutical substances is tested and is reliable. Physical-mechanical, chemical and microbiological control of products are also performed.
Gauze as the basic material is cut and prepared in following products: compresses, bandages, sets and gauzes of various sizes and forms that can be sterile and non-sterile. Beside the regular sizes and forms, it is possible to meet specific customers’ request, and to produce many different sizes and forms. Expiry date of the gauze and gauze products is 5 (five) years from date of production.
